Photo overload in Atlanta. Best aquarium I've ever seen (largest in the world), pretty spectacular.  Good to be back with the boys again. Just like old times.

The Kite Runner

Finished reading The Kite Runner on my way back from Atlanta.  I was hesitant about this book at first since I'm not a huge fan of anti-war books or most NYT bestseller books, but this book really impressed me. It read like an autobiography and opened my eyes to the trials and tribulations of modern day Afghanistan.

My favorite quote from the novel:

"After all, life is not a Hindi movie.  Zendagi migzara, Afghans like to say: Life goes on, unmindful of beginning, end, kamyab, nah-kam, crisis or catharsis, moving forward like a slow, dusty caravan of kochis."

Went to a talk by Rick Sammon, helped me figure out some new shooting and editing techniques.  Being a little bit more experimental in editing/colors.  Still have a few photos from Box Wars I want to upload but will touch up and edit those photos a bit later.
